The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for reducing farm-gate wastage through multi-channel circular utilization of surplus and sub-grade agricultural produce. Large quantities of fruits, vegetables, and other perishable farm produce are lost at the farm level due to cosmetic defects, market oversupply, or lack of efficient distribution mechanisms. The proposed system comprises a produce assessment module configured to classify harvested produce into market-grade, sub-grade, and surplus categories using quality parameters. A demand forecasting module predicts potential utilization pathways based on historical demand, seasonal variations, and geographic market data. A digital aggregation module consolidates surplus produce from multiple farms within a cluster to enable efficient logistics and scale. The aggregated produce is routed through a multi-channel circular utilization module to secondary markets, food processing units, animal feed production, composting facilities, or bio-energy systems. The invention enables efficient resource recovery, minimizes farm-level food wastage, and promotes a circular agricultural economy through coordinated digital decision support and stakeholder integration.
