Abstract: Disclosed herein a system for managing the connectivity of mobile devices, tablets, video players, or similar devices based on user motion and environmental conditions, comprising a plurality of sensors configured to measure speed, motion, wind speed, and location, a processing module configured to receive sensor data and determine the user’s activity including but not limited to driving, biking, walking, and environmental context, a disconnection module configured to temporarily disconnect or disable the mobile device or similar device when the user is detected to be in motion including but not limited to driving or walking and interacting with the device, a communication module configured to send a notification to a caller informing them that the user is currently driving or walking and will respond later. A method for managing the connectivity of mobile devices, tablets, video players, or similar devices based on user motion and environmental conditions is also disclosed.
