Abstract: ABSTRACT A System and Method for Intelligent Internet of Things Device Management and Security The present disclosure is concerned with a system and method for intelligent Internet of Things device management and cyber-physical security. The Internet of Things device provides the system with device identity information, measurements made during boot, the state of the firmware, sensor readings, feedback from actuators, electrical operating characteristics and communication-session information. [0021] The processor receives authentication of a hardware-bound device, determines integrity of the firmware and configuration, determines a source and continuity of command transmission, and correlates an actuator command with sensor feedback and an expected physical response. The processor also compares an electrical signature against an authorized operating envelope, and produces a device specific operational trust state based on correlated observations. When operational trust state is at a security-risk threshold, the processor effects a risk-proportionate containment action such as command restriction, credential rotation, network segmentation, device isolation, actuator lockout, or local safe-mode activation. Cryptographically protected event data are stored and restoration for re-enrolment is only allowed after successful renewal of identity attestation, integrity verification, communication validation and physical-operation validation.
