MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631098429 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Patna on August 14, 2026, for A System And Method For Integrated Planning Of Smart Hybrid Renewable Energy System (shres).

Inventors include Mukhopadhyay, Bineeta; and Verma, Vimlesh.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and method for integrated planning and management of a smart hybrid renewable energy system (SHRES) (100) comprising a plurality of interconnected microgrids (101, 102, 103). Each microgrid includes distributed energy resources with a microgrid energy manager, digital monitor (DM) (104), smart meter (109), central meter data management system, and a distributed resource manager. An integrated planning model executed by the distributed resource manager employs a stochastic adaptive load flow procedure including uncertainty analysis, probabilistic power flow, and adaptive load flow using Grid Interface Bus and Power Balancing Bus configurations. The integrated planning model further performs resource capacity planning, price-based demand response management, and energy scheduling to optimize distributed energy resource allocation, coordinated inter-microgrid power transactions, and utility grid (113) power exchange while reducing operational cost and carbon emissions and improving self-reliance and future energy demand satisfaction.
