Abstract: TITLE: A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSPECTION OF RAILWAY COACH ABSTRACT: The present invention is an automated, real-time railway coach monitoring system. The system(A) uses eight FBG sensors (101) for triggering, axle counting, and precise synchronization along with industrial cameras (102) (103) that captures high-resolution images of railway coach components. The visuals are processed by Image Processing Unit (106) where advanced machine-learning models detect structural defects, missing parts, brake issues, and safety-critical anomalies. All components communicate over an Ethernet network, and processed results are transmitted through an Internet (109) gateway to a cloud server (111), where a real-time dashboard displays train formation, identified defects, severity levels, and maintenance alerts. The system (A) ensures predictive maintenance, enhances safety, reduces manual workload, and supports scalable railway operations. FIGURE-1
