Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF CALAMITY VICTIMS USING C-V2X TECHNOLOGY FOR MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION The present invention relates to a system and method for identification of calamity victims using C-V2X technology for multimodal transportation. The system comprises an edge computing board (2), is equipped with a camera (3), is deployed to process live video feeds in real time. The on-board unit (OBU) integrated with the edge computing platform mounted on ariel vehicle. The victim in the landslide is detected via the object detection model running in the edge computing board on the drone which gives the alert signal to the drone mounted OBU R1. R1 communicates to R2 via V2V communication informing the driver of the rescue car about the victim’s presence, location via latitude and longitude. In addition, the location of the drone communicated to R2 enables the ground vehicle to reach the location precisely. The onboard edge computing hardware (2) is integrated with the C-V2X onboard unit (1) and deployment for coordination between multimodal mobility.
