Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for dual-fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition operation employing an oxygenated Palm Kernel Methyl Ester biodiesel blend as the high-reactivity pilot fuel and hydrogen as the low-reactivity inducted fuel on a common rail direct injection engine platform. The system comprises a high-reactivity pilot fuel supply subsystem 101 delivering the oxygenated biodiesel blend via a split injection strategy, a low-reactivity gaseous fuel induction subsystem 103 inducting hydrogen through the intake manifold, an electronic control unit 105 regulating hydrogen flow rate, an integrated hydrogen safety arrangement, a combustion monitoring system 109, and an emission measurement system 111. The synergistic combination of biodiesel oxygenation and hydrogen flame speed produces simultaneously improved brake thermal efficiency, reduced brake specific fuel consumption, and reduced carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, and smoke opacity relative to neat diesel and existing dual-fuel baseline configurations, without external after-treatment hardware (FIG. 1)
