Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED KNOWLEDGE RETRIEVAL AND DECISION SUPPORT The current disclosure is related to a system and method of Generative Artificial Intelligence-Based Knowledge Retrieval and Decision Support. This system consists of a query processing unit that receives and processes user queries, a knowledge retrieval unit that retrieves information from one or more heterogeneous knowledge bases, a contextual reasoning unit that performs analysis of retrieved information, a generative artificial intelligence engine that generates contextual knowledge outputs, a confidence scoring unit that calculates confidence levels in generated outputs, and a recommendation generation unit that generates decision-support recommendations. The method of the invention includes steps of receiving user query, identifying its semantic intent, retrieving contextually relevant information, performing contextual reasoning, generating synthesized knowledge outputs through generative artificial intelligence, confidence scoring, and generation of explainable recommendations. This invention improves the knowledge availability, contextual understanding, information synthesis, and decision support efficiency through transformation of heterogeneous information resources into reliable, context-aware and actionable decision-support outputs.
