Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and method for generating and retrieving a dual-accessible two-dimensional (2D) barcode configured to provide both machine-readable decoding and direct human-readable interpretation from a common barcode structure. The system receives source information, partitions the 10 information into machine-encodable data and human-display data, and generates a machine-readable 2D barcode using an encoding engine with error-correction processing. A layout controller defines a scannable code region and a separate human-readable display region such that text, symbols, or other visually interpretable information can be rendered without interfering with barcode 15 decoding requirements. The resulting barcode may be output on a physical or digital medium and accessed through multiple devices including dedicated scanners, smartphone cameras, tablets, point-of-sale terminals, and computing systems. In use, the machine- readable region enables automated decoding and retrieval of encoded or linked information, while the human-readable region enables immediate 20 visual verification of selected information without requiring a scanning step. The disclosed arrangement improves accessibility, preserves scan integrity, reduces dependence on dedicated scanning equipment for basic verification, and supports efficient information retrieval across retail, logistics, healthcare, and related application environments.
