Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for digital transformation of agricultural practices through social media-based information exchange and decision support. The system comprises a data acquisition module configured to collect data from 92 agricultural micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Rajasthan, India, using purposive sampling and structured online surveys. A survey module performs pilot testing before full-scale data collection. An analytics module processes the collected data to evaluate relationships among entrepreneurship training, social media usage orientations, and bridging online social capital (BOSC). The analytics module identifies significant positive associations (p 0.05) between entrepreneurship training, cognitive goal-oriented use (CGOU), hedonic-oriented use (HEOU), social communication-oriented use (SCOU), and BOSC, while determining no significant association between cognitive orientation, hedonic orientation, and BOSC. The system determines that effective social media utilization enhances market reach, stakeholder communication, product visibility, access to agricultural information, direct farmer–consumer interaction, and reduced dependency on intermediaries, improved profitability, and competitive growth, while emphasizing the importance of technology infrastructure, supportive policies, digital literacy, and capacity-building initiatives.
