MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641066779 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education on May 27, 2026, for A System And Method For Detecting Inconsistent Activity Data And Generating A Tamper-Evident Record.
Inventors include Niranjan Subash Nair; and Varun Sarda.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) and a method (300) for detecting physiologically inconsistent activity data and generating a tamper-evident record. The processor (201) receives activity data comprising step-count data, heart-rate data, and calorie-expenditure data via a communication interface (205) over a rolling evaluation window and transforms the activity data into a canonical activity record having a source-identifier field and a signal-quality field. The processor (201) flags a canonical activity record as anomalous based on the step-count data, heart-rate data, and calorie-expenditure data not being physiologically consistent under a physiological coherence model, queries an alternate sensor source for corroborating activity data covering the same date, and withholds the flagged canonical activity record unless verified. The processor (201) generates the behavioral risk score from verified canonical activity records and generates append-only entries linked by a cryptographic hash, committing the behavioral risk score and the verification status of each record.
