The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEEP SPIKING NEURON ATTENTION NETWORKS FOR ACCURATE SKIN DISEASE CLASSIFICATION The present invention relates to a system and method for accurate skin disease classification using deep spiking neuron attention networks. Dermatological images are acquired and encoded into spike-based representations that are processed by spiking neuron networks inspired by biological neural computation. An integrated attention mechanism emphasizes diagnostically significant lesion features while suppressing redundant information, thereby improving classification accuracy and interpretability. The system is computationally efficient, energy-aware, and suitable for deployment on mobile, edge, or neuromorphic hardware platforms. By enabling real-time and reliable skin disease screening using limited training data, the invention supports early diagnosis, telemedicine applications, and improved accessibility to dermatological care, particularly in resource-constrained environments.
