The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for the conversion of dewatered sludge generated from municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities into high-temperature-resistant silica crucibles through sequential drying, particle size reduction, silica enrichment, binder incorporation, moulding, and thermal processing operations. More particularly, the invention provides an integrated waste-to-resource platform for recovering silica-rich mineral fractions from sludge and transforming them into refractory ceramic products. The system comprises a Sludge Drying Module configured to reduce moisture content and improve grindability of sludge, a Fine Crushing Module configured to generate micron-sized particles with enhanced surface area, a Silica Enrichment Module configured to eliminate organic matter and metallic impurities while concentrating silica-containing minerals, a Binder Incorporation Module configured to formulate a mouldable ceramic composition, a Crucible Moulding Module configured to fabricate green ceramic bodies, and a Controlled Sintering Module configured to produce dense and thermally stable silica crucibles. The invention further comprises a Quality Evaluation Module configured to assess mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties of the fabricated crucibles. The invention provides an environmentally sustainable alternative to quartz-derived crucibles and facilitates sludge valorization, resource recovery, reduction of landfill disposal, and promotion of circular economy principles.
