The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A system and method for controlled wireless delivery of electrical energy to a moving space-based asset are disclosed. Electrical energy from an energy source is conditioned and converted in to a directed electromagnetic energy beam for transmission to ward the space-based asset. Predictive positional data is processed to determine a future position of the space-based asset, and the electromagnetic energy be amispre-steered to ward the predicted position prior to transmission.During transmission,real-time closed- loop feedback correction is applied to compensate for alignment deviation. A safety and fault-management unit continuously monitors alignment error, thermal condition, and signal quality, and initiates graded power reduction followed by transmission termination when predefined safety thresholds are exceeded. The invention enables non-contact energy transfer to orbiting assets, extending operational mission life without physical docking or refueling.
