MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096626 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on August 10, 2026, for A System And Method For Context-Aware Emotion Tracking And Adaptive Behavioural Guidance In Digital Communication.
Inventors include Kanagaraj K; and Yuvaraj Ragavendhar K.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: A context-aware emotion tracking system (100) comprises a client communication interface, a communication orchestrator, an emotion inference engine, a Temporal Emotion Aggregation Module, a behavioural guidance module, a Human-in-the-Loop adaptive learning module, and a database. The communication orchestrator receives textual messages, performs authentication and routing, and exchanges data with the emotion inference engine. The emotion inference engine processes textual messages using a transformer-based emotion recognition model to generate emotion prediction data corresponding to predefined emotion classes. The Temporal Emotion Aggregation Module aggregates emotion prediction data over a sliding conversational window and determines an aggregated emotional state based on temporal analysis. The behavioural guidance module generates behavioural guidance responsive to a threshold condition. The Human-in-the-Loop adaptive learning module receives user correction information for adaptive model updating. The database stores conversational history, emotion prediction data, aggregated emotional information, behavioural guidance information, and user correction information. The disclosed architecture operates through coordinated hybrid microservices. (100)
