MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641000772 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education on January 05, 2026, for A System And Method For Computer-Implemented Prediction Of Embryo Transfer Difficulty Using Clinical-Ultrasound Scoring.
Inventors include Vidyashree G Poojari; Chaithanya S V; Anjali Suneel Mundkur; and Prashanth Adiga.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A computer-implemented embryo transfer difficulty determination system 101 for predicting the difficulty of an embryo transfer procedure. The system comprises a data input module 301 configured to receive pre-procedural patient data including a uterine position indicator, a surgical abortion history indicator, a cervical length measurement, a uterocervical angle measurement, and an endometriosis presence indicator. A processing unit 303 comprising a processor 201 and a memory 203 determines a difficulty prediction score by applying the pre-procedural patient data to a logistic regression scoring function and computes individual contribution values for each predictor variable. A risk classification module 305 compares the determined score against a validated clinical threshold to classify the patient into a risk category. An output interface 307 generates and displays the risk classification output comprising the score, risk category, and contributing predictor variables, enabling tailored procedural planning. FIG.3
