MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641101006 A) filed by Bvrit Hyderabad College Of Engineering For Women on August 21, 2026, for A System And Method For Blockchain-Enabled Tamper-Evident Traceability, Authenticity And Origin Verification Of Msme Export Products.

Inventor includes Dr. Rashi Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for blockchain-enabled tamper-evident traceability, authenticity and origin verification of MSME export products. The system comprises a mobile-compatible data capture module configured to register an MSME unit and record product supply-chain information at predefined checkpoints including raw-material sourcing, processing, quality checking and packaging or dispatch. Each checkpoint record comprising batch information, quantity, timestamp, location and associated evidence is processed to generate a cryptographic hash. The generated hash is anchored to a blockchain ledger through a checkpoint registry, while photographs and supporting documents are maintained in an off-chain storage environment. Upon completion of the product journey, a unique QR code is generated and associated with the corresponding product batch. An export buyer, retailer, auditor or customs authority can scan the QR code to access a public read-only verification interface displaying the product's chronological provenance record. The system verifies the integrity of the retrieved information against the blockchain- anchored cryptographic hash, thereby enabling tamper-evident authenticity and origin verification. The invention provides a low-cost, smartphone-compatible and scalable traceability mechanism suitable for MSME export products and producer clusters.
