MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611091066 A) filed by Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun on July 27, 2026, for A System And Method For Bidirectional Electric Vehicle Power Conversion With Ultrasonic Cryptographic Authentication And Cloud-Based Authorization.

Inventors include Sarthak Pundir; Dr. Arun Pratap Singh Rathod; and Dr. Anubha Pundir.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to electric vehicle power electronics and authenticated charging control, and discloses a system and method using a unified bidirectional power conversion core within an electric vehicle, including a DC interface (110), an AC interface (111), a three-phase bridge with switches Q1-Q6, a DC link capacitor (121), AC side inductors L1-L3, a common mode choke (122), isolated gate drivers (123), optical or magnetic isolation (124), and a configuration switch array (125), governed by a digital signal processor (130) and field programmable gate array (131) for propulsion, regenerative braking, AC-to-DC charging, vehicle-to-grid, vehicle- to-home, and voltage conversion. An ultrasonic cryptographic beacon module broadcasts a digitally signed payload, which is captured by a mobile device and verified through a cloud verification and authorization layer that issues a time-bound authorization token. A vehicle control unit validates the token before contactor closure and mode reconfiguration, enabling infrastructure-light, secure charging and energy transfer.
