The system (100) comprising a battery (102), a charging unit (104), at least one control unit (106), and at least one connector port (108). The battery (102) powers one or more electronic components of the vehicle. The charging unit (104) performs at least one function of charging or discharging. The at least one control unit (106) is operably connected to at least one connector port (108). The at least one connector port (108) is to receive at least one of a power input source or a power output source. The charging unit (104) is operably connected to the at least one control unit (106) in one end and the battery (102) in another end. The present subject matter optimizes battery usage by switching between charging and discharging modes.
