Inventors include Rajagopal K; Dr. V. Sheeja Kumari; Vijayalakshmi R; and Dr Ramya Mohan.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: Real-time kidney tumor diagnosis is performed within a medical diagnostic system that utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze clinical medical images in operational healthcare environments. The system employs advanced deep learning models, including convolutional neural networks and transformer-based architectures, to automatically detect, segment, and classify kidney tumors from contrast-enhanced CT and MRI scans with minimal human intervention. The AT framework performs multi-stage analysis involving kidney localization, accurate tumor boundary segmentation, and classification of renal tumors into clinically relevant categories while maintaining high diagnostic accuracy. Explainable artificial intelligence techniques such as Grad-CAM and SHAP are integrated to provide visual interpretability of predictions, enabling clinicians to understand and trust the diagnostic outcomes. The system further supports cloud-based connectivity and telemedicine integration, allowing remote access and collaborative clinical evaluation. Federated learning mechanisms are incorporated to enable continuous model optimization while preserving patient data privacy. The disclosed invention provides a reliable, real-time, and scalable AI-based diagnostic solution that enhances early kidney tumor detection, supports treatment planning, and improves clinical workflow efficiency in modern healthcare environments.
