MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611092829 A) filed by Chitkara University on July 30, 2026, for A System And Method For Anthropometric Micro-Altimetry.

Inventors include Anshika Bansal; Gaurav Kundu; Gouri; and Dr. Yogesh.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention an anthropometric micro-altimetry device (100) comprises a movable pressure sensing unit (600), a stationary reference pressure sensor (302), a motion sensing unit (400), a temperature sensing unit (800), a linear displacement encoder (110), a pressure equalization valve (116), and processing circuitry implementing synchronized acquisition, baseline stabilization, motion gating, and pressure-gradient modeling. Before measurement, the sensors are equalized at a common height. During controlled upward and downward sweeps, differential pressure, displacement, tilt, and temperature are synchronously acquired. Non- monotonic, over-tilted, thermally unstable, and airflow-disturbed segments are rejected. A continuous differential-pressure-versus-displacement profile is generated for each sweep, and anthropometric height is released only when bidirectional consistency and uncertainty limits are satisfied. Still-air inlet labyrinths (118) and a stationary reference channel reduce motion-induced dynamic pressure and ambient drift. The device provides a technically validated height output together with quality metrics and stores the synchronized measurement profile in a non-volatile memory (124).
