Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING AND PROCESSING THERMAL IMAGES FOR BREAST CHECKUPS The present invention discloses a smart diagnostic system and method for breast health screening that integrates a high- resolution thermal imaging camera (1) with advanced diagnostic method. It involves positioning a subject using a dedicated patient positioning device (2) to ensure standardized imaging conditions, capturing a thermal image with a sensor array, and pre-processing (3) the image to generate a processed image. The system displays a classification result through a user interface (5). Calibration of the thermal sensor array is achieved using a means for reference calibration, ensuring high sensitivity. Further a processor unit (4) includes feature extraction, spatial relationship analysis using self-attention mechanisms, and classification to detect anomalies. An explainable heat-map output is generated for display (5), and a cloud-based system tracks classification results over time. This specific architecture yields an unexpected and significant improvement in diagnostic performance, achieving 93% accuracy, which is demonstrably superior to standalone or parallel hybrid systems. This technical advancement, integrated into a portable, non-invasive device, provides a more accurate and accessible solution to the problem of early breast cancer detection.
