Abstract: Abstract Title: An Embedded Wireless Sensor Node-Based Self-Configuring Decentralized Ad-Hoc Network The present invention discloses a system and method for a fault-tolerant, self-configuring, decentralized wireless ad-hoc network utilizing embedded sensor nodes. Each node integrates a microcontroller module, an AC-to-DC power module, electrical current and voltage tracking sensors, an optocoupler-isolated relay module, and a local display. Operating as a protocol-agnostic software layer, the method executes autonomous node self-discovery, proactive heartbeat-based health monitoring, localized bypass routing, and closed-loop bidirectional failover. Upon detecting an adjacent node failure via missing heartbeat acknowledgments, a preceding node dynamically establishes a direct link to the next available functional node using a local neighbor map. This localized bypass mechanism routes data seamlessly around faults while embedding specific failed-node metadata into the data payload for cloud reporting. If the forward path is blocked, communication automatically flows in reverse toward a secondary gateway node, ensuring highly resilient wide-area monitoring with minimal internet infrastructure dependencies.
