Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AI-INTEGRATED USB MALWARE DETECTION UTILIZING EMBEDDED ARCHITECTURE AND REAL-TIME STATIC FEATURE ANALYSIS The invention relates to a USB malware detection system employing an embedded processing unit that operates independently and a USB interface for drive insertion detection. Upon detection, an auto-mount and recursive file enumeration module initiates the mounting process, while the feature extraction module computes static attributes such as file size, MIME type, entropy, and header properties. A memory unit stores a pre-trained AI/ML classification model for analysis, and visual display components including an OLED display and LED indicators provide real-time feedback on file classification. The power supply module connected via a USB Type-C interface ensures operational efficiency. This inventive system integrates hardware and AI-driven software to perform isolated, accurate USB malware detection, thereby offering enhanced security in embedded applications.
