Inventors include Dr. Firas Shawkat Al Bayati; Dr. Dina Hussein Hatif Al Mansoori; Dr. Sahar M. Jawad; Dr. Mustafa Kamil Othman Alchalabi; Dr Rajinder Kumar; and Mrs. K. Aishvarya.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for AI-based biological research analytics and knowledge discovery that collects heterogeneous biological information from genomic, proteomic, metabolomic, imaging, clinical, environmental, laboratory, and scientific literature sources and performs intelligent harmonization and semantic standardization. An adaptive biological knowledge graph dynamically builds relationships among biological entities while a dynamic evidence reliability module assigns reliability indices. The scientific hypothesis generation module operates as an evidence-constrained generator that generates hypotheses only when traceable evidence chains are present. The system computes hypothesis ranking scores using novelty, biological significance, evidence reliability, cross-source consensus, source independence, experimental feasibility, and conflict penalty. The system further provides source independence scoring, knowledge gap mapping, multi-modal contradiction mining, unsupported conclusion filtering, validation lifecycle tracking, federated multi-laboratory validation, and experimental strategy optimization based on expected information gain and ability to confirm or reject hypotheses, thereby improving reproducibility, transparency, traceability, computational efficiency, and reliable autonomous biological knowledge discovery.
