Abstract: The present invention relates to a solar photovoltaic-powered wireless electric vehicle charging system and method incorporating adaptive photovoltaic array reconfiguration and adaptive wireless power transfer. The system comprises a photovoltaic array including a plurality of photovoltaic modules interconnected in a Total Cross-Tied (TCT) configuration, a voltage sensing subsystem, a control unit, a switching network, a power conditioning unit, and an adaptive wireless power transfer subsystem including a transmitter assembly and a receiver assembly. The control unit continuously monitors voltage values corresponding to one or more panel groups of the photovoltaic array, determines voltage mismatch conditions, and dynamically modifies the electrical interconnections of the Total Cross-Tied photovoltaic array through the switching network to optimize power generation. The control unit further receives positional information of the receiver assembly and adaptively modifies the geometry of the transmitter coil while controlling adjustment of the receiver assembly to maintain a predetermined air gap for improved magnetic coupling during wireless power transfer. The conditioned electrical power is wirelessly transferred to an electric vehicle battery, thereby providing adaptive photovoltaic optimization and efficient wireless charging under varying environmental and vehicle positioning conditions.
