Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE HYBRID ROUTING USING DYNAMIC PROTOCOL SWITCHING IN MANETS The present invention discloses a system and method for adaptive hybrid routing in mobile ad hoc networks (100) using dynamic protocol switching between reactive and proactive routing strategies. The system comprises a plurality of mobile nodes (110), a network condition assessment module (120) that monitors packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, throughput, jitter, and routing overhead to compute a composite network health score, a protocol switching engine (130) with hysteresis mechanism that dynamically selects between a reactive routing module (140) implementing AODV and a proactive routing module (150) implementing DSDV based on real-time network conditions, a performance logging and analytics module (160), a flow monitoring engine (170), and a wireless communication interface (180). The system achieves packet delivery ratios exceeding 93 percent, throughput above 180 kbps, and end-to-end delay below 42 milliseconds by activating AODV during high- mobility conditions. [
