The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a system (200) to control temperature of an exhaust component of a vehicle. The system (200) includes a controller may be configured to determine an average rate of fuel consumption based on an instantaneous fuel injected by fuel injectors. The controller may determine a distance to fuel empty (DFE) based on the fuel level available inside a fuel tank and average fuel consumption rate. Further, the controller may compare the determined distance to fuel empty (DFE) with a distance covered by the vehicle. Furthermore, the controller may control operation of the Internal Combustion (IC) engine when the determined distance to fuel empty (DFE) is lower than the distance covered.
