Abstract: Disclosed is a system (100) for solar-powered far-field wireless energy transmission using a store-and-release architecture. The system (100) includes a solar energy source (102), an MPPT charge controller (104), an energy storage battery (106), a radio-frequency generator (108), a power amplifier (110), a transmitting directional antenna (112), a free-space propagation channel (114), a receiving antenna (116), a rectifier circuit (118), a supercapacitor (120), a voltage supervisor (122), a switching device (124), and a load (126). Solar-derived electrical energy powers generation and directional transmission of a continuous radio-frequency signal. The received radio-frequency energy is rectified into direct-current electrical energy and progressively accumulated in the supercapacitor (120). Upon reaching an upper voltage threshold, the switching device (124) releases the accumulated energy as a higher-power burst to operate the load (126). Upon reaching a lower voltage threshold, discharge is discontinued and energy accumulation recommences, thereby enabling cyclic batteryless remote operation for practical loads.
