Abstract: Disclosed is a system (100) for contactless gesture-controlled positioning of a medical bed with multi-layer safety validation. The system (100) includes a gesture sensor module (102), a microcontroller unit (104), a gesture validation module (106), a programmable motion mapping module (108), a motor driver circuit (110), linear actuators (112), an encoder feedback system (114), a current monitoring system (116), an obstruction detection module (118), and a mechanical limit detection module (120). The system (100) detects predefined hand gestures, validates the gestures through multi-layer validation, maps the validated gestures to predefined bed- positioning commands, and actuates adjustable bed sections (134) of a motorized medical bed frame (132). The system (100) further includes a wireless communication module (122), a caregiver override interface (124), an IoT-based remote monitoring interface (126), a power supply unit (128), and a battery backup unit (130), thereby improving hygiene, safety, patient independence, and caregiver supervision.
