Abstract: Disclosed is a system (100) for automatically extracting examination information from a front page of a corrected answer sheet and updating corresponding marks in an institutional academic record. The system (100) includes an image-capture interface (102), an image-preprocessing engine (104), an optical-character-recognition data- extraction engine (106), and a field-detection and data-parsing engine (108) for generating structured field-value pairs representing student, subject, and mark information. A data-validation engine (110) compares the structured field-value pairs with corresponding records retrieved from an institutional student database (112) and generates a validated result or a mismatch result. An automatic mark-update engine (114) updates marks through an academic-database or enterprise-resource- planning integration interface (116) only after successful validation. A teacher-verification dashboard (118) presents mismatched fields for correction or confirmation and displays an update status. An audit-log storage unit (120) stores extracted information, validation outcomes, updated marks, and transaction information, thereby enabling secure validation-gated updating and traceable academic-record management.
