Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) and a method (200) for securely conducting offline computer-based examination. The system (100) comprises a first electronic device (10) executing a secure examination desktop application, a second electronic device (20) executing a geofenced examiner application, an administrator server (30), a cryptographic module (40), a package-generation module (50), and a result-processing module (70). The cryptographic module (40) dynamically allocates a cryptographic algorithm and a candidate-and-examination-specific cryptographic key for encrypting examination data. The package-generation module (50) generates an encrypted examination package including encrypted examination files, an installer, and authorised device-fingerprint data. The first electronic device (10) operates without a local web server or local database and remains disconnected from a communication network during the examination. Start-of-examination and end-of- examination machine-readable codes are captured by second electronic device (20) for candidate validation and secure transfer of encrypted candidate-response data to the administrator server (30) for evaluation.
