MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531031660 A) filed by Biswas, Rupak Kanti; Nandi, Krishnendu; and Halder, Tirna on March 31, 2025, for A System And A Method For Predicting Pcv Status Via Multimodal Imaging And Machine Learning Algorithms.

Inventors include Biswas, Rupak Kanti; Nandi, Krishnendu; and Halder, Tirna.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: A system 130 for determining a polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy status of an eye receives ophthalmic information derived from optical coherence tomography, fundus photography, and fluorescein angiography. Collected data are received in a data collection stage 201, preprocessed in a data preprocessing stage 202, and divided at a split stage 203 for model development and evaluation using a test set 207. A predictive model scores clinical features indicative of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy and performs threshold calculation 212 based on receiver operating characteristic analysis to generate a classification output. A user input 121 receives binary clinical feature values, and the system 130 provides visualization, status prediction, and downloadable reporting. The disclosed framework enables rapid, structured, and reduced-invasiveness assessment of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy status.
