Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for forming a consolidated energetic body (400). The system includes a first compaction assembly (100) configured to compact a first energetic material to form a first compacted energetic body (160). Further, the system includes a second compaction assembly (200) configured to compact a second energetic material to form a second compacted energetic body (260). Further the system includes a final consolidation assembly (300) configured to receive and consolidate the first compacted energetic body (160) and the second compacted energetic body (260) into a precision-pressed consolidated energetic body (400). Further, the first compaction assembly, the second compaction assembly, and the final consolidation assembly are arranged to operate in stages to limit peak compaction stress during consolidation to obtain the consolidated energetic body (400) having controlled geometry and uniform density.
