Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR FORENSIC ANALYSIS OF A DIGITAL IMAGE The present disclosure envisages a method (100) and system (200) for forensic analysis of a digital image. The method comprises receiving an input image, extracting a plurality of forensic features from the input image, generates a combined forensic feature vector, converts the combined forensic feature vector into a lattice-domain representation, applies a lattice-based cryptographic encoding operation to generate an encoded forensic representation, dividing the input image into a plurality of image patches, generates encoded patch representations for the image patches, determines a tamper score for each image patch, generating a tamper localization heatmap based on the tamper scores, comparing the encoded forensic representation of the input image with an encoded forensic representation of a reference image to determine an authenticity score, identifying tampered region based on the authenticity score and the tamper localization heatmap, and a forensic recovery module recovers the identified tampered region to generate a recovered image.
