The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a method (1100) for enhancing laser photovoltaic conversion efficiency. The method (1100) includes generating, a beam generating arrangement (104), a Gaussian laser beam. The method (1100) includes receiving, by a beam shaping module (106), the Gaussian laser beam, wherein the beam shaping module (106) introduces a spatially varying phase modulation to an optical wavefront according to a programmed phase distribution to redistribute optical energy from a concentrated central region of the Gaussian laser beam to lower-intensity peripheral regions and transform a Gaussian intensity distribution into a substantially uniform flat-top intensity profile. The method (1100) further includes receiving, by a photovoltaic receiver (108), the beam with the uniform flat-top intensity profile and convert laser power into electric power, wherein the beam with the uniform flat-top intensity profile provides a uniform optical illumination over an active surface of the photovoltaic receiver (108).
