Abstract: A Synergistic Insecticidal and Phytotonic Composition with a Novel Formulation Process for Its Preparation The present invention provides an insecticidal composition and a process for its preparation in the field of agrochemicals. The composition comprises four active ingredients (AIs): Tolfenpyrad, Pyriproxyfen, Dinotefuran, and Lemongrass Oil, which together exhibit an enhanced efficacy against agricultural pests. The technical advancement resides in the unique formulation process, which avoids a conventional wet milling step. The process involves preparing a primary aqueous phase containing Tolfenpyrad; separately preparing a solution of Pyriproxyfen and a paste of Dinotefuran in a non-aqueous solvent like Nitrobenzene; and subsequently combining these phases with a second non-aqueous solvent and a thickener. This method overcomes the problem of AI agglutination and produces a stable formulation. The stable liquid formulation exhibited a synergistic insecticidal activity against selected target insect and mite pests at a dosage lower than several existing single and combination products in Mango plantation and Cotton crop ecosystems. The principal use of the invention is for controlling a broad spectrum of insect and mite pests on agricultural crops. Ref. Figure: 1
