Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYNERGISTIC ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION AND A METHOD OF PREPARATION THEROF A plant extract and protease inhibitor based synergistic antimicrobial composition is disclosed. The composition comprises a plant extract containing a variety of bioactive components with a combination of metal sources such as silver, zinc and gold. The disclosure also describes method of preparation of a low-cost antimicrobial composition by utilizing naturally derived green tea extract reducing dependence on expensive synthetic antimicrobial agents. The disclosed method overcomes limitations of conventional antimicrobial composition by providing a thermostable composition that retains its antimicrobial efficacy during storage and transportation under varying temperature conditions, thereby extending shelf life. The composition provides synergistic broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, and other pathogenic microorganisms. The synergistic antimicrobial composition proved to be effective in reducing viral infections and was found to be safe for use under standard farming conditions.
