Abstract: A swivel locking mechanism of a seat (100) comprises a first plate (102), a second plate (106) coupled to the first plate (102), and a third plate (110) fixedly connected in between the first plate (102) and the second plate (106). The third plate (110) is defining a plurality of circumferential slots (130) at predefined angular positions. The mechanism comprises a bearing assembly (114) configured to allow a rotational movement of the first plate (102) with respect to the third plate (110). A lever (124) pivotally mounted to the first plate (102), and having a first end (124a) and a second end (124b). The first end (124a) of the lever (124) comprises one or more projections (132) configured to engage with the corresponding plurality of circumferential slots (130) of the third plate (110) to selectively lock the rotational motion of the first plate (102) at a predetermined angular position.
