Abstract: A SUSTAINABLE HIGH-STRENGTH PAVER BLOCK AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME USING DRY MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE-BASED COMPOSITE MATERIAL The present invention relates to a sustainable high-strength paver block and a process for manufacturing the same using processed dry municipal solid waste (DMSW)-based composite material. The paver block comprises processed dry municipal solid waste including one or more recycled constituents selected from plastic particles, paper fibres, cardboard fibres, textile fibres, rubber particles, glass powder, ceramic particles, recycled aggregates, mineral fillers, or combinations thereof, together with at least one binder selected from hydraulic cement, geopolymer binder, alkali-activated binder, lime-based binder, polymeric binder, or combinations thereof. The resulting composite paver block exhibits improved compressive strength, abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, reduced water absorption, weather resistance, and long-term durability while significantly reducing landfill disposal and the consumption of virgin construction materials. The invention provides an environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and scalable solution for converting dry municipal solid waste into durable paving products suitable for pedestrian pathways, roads, parking areas, industrial flooring, public infrastructure, landscaping, and other civil engineering applications, thereby promoting circular economy principles and sustainable infrastructure development.
