Abstract: The present invention relates to a sustainable biosorbent system derived from corn cob fiber for the removal of cationic dyes from wastewater. The biosorbent exhibits high efficiency in removing methylene blue dye under optimized conditions, with adsorption following Temkin isotherm and pseudo-second-order kinetics. The process is spontaneous and endothermic in nature. The invention provides a cost-effective, renewable, and environmentally friendly solution for wastewater treatment, offering significant potential for large-scale environmental remediation applications.
