Abstract: ABSTRACT “A SURPLUS FOOD RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND A METHOD THEREOF” The present invention discloses a surplus food resource management system and a method thereof configured for real-time redistribution of surplus food through a role-based, location-aware digital platform. The system comprises a multi-role application engine, a hierarchical geographic database, an order lifecycle management engine, a communication interface layer, and a secure authentication architecture. Vendors generate surplus food listings including pricing, quantity, pickup window, and location information, while consumers retrieve geographically filtered listings through locality-based discovery mechanisms. The system further enables cart management, checkout processing, vendor-side order response, and real-time delivery countdown tracking. Administrative interfaces provide moderation, analytics, and governance functionalities. The invention incorporates OTP verification, bcrypt-encrypted credentials, CSRF-protected transactions, and REST API communication. The platform operates as a scalable, deployable web-based infrastructure for structured surplus food redistribution and food waste reduction.
