Abstract: ABSTRACT A SULPHITATION SYSTEM AND A METHOD TO TREAT SUGARCANE-DERIVED LIQUID The present disclosure provides a sulphitation system and method for treating sugarcane-derived liquid, including juice and syrup. The system of the present disclosure enables rapid and uniform absorption of sulphur dioxide (SO2) into the liquid under induced draft conditions by eliminating the need for steam or mechanical blowers. The method of the present disclosure results in improved turbidity and colour reduction, reduced sulphur consumption, and lower environmental risk. The system offers a compact, energy-efficient, and safer alternative to conventional sulphitation practices in sugar manufacturing.
