MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531029805 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on March 28, 2025, for A Structural Beam For Supporting The Economizer Coil.

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses a structural beam (5) for supporting the economizer coil (4). More particularly, a plurality of plates including partition plates (11), side plates (12), and an end cover plates (19) having circular hole (18) are configured to form a chamber (13) within the structural beam (5) for supporting the economiser coil (4). An inlet pipe (14) and outlet pipe (16) configured to regulate the temperature of the beam. A control valve (15) configured within the inlet pipe (14) controls the air flow inside the chamber. The atmospheric air based cooling keeps temperature of the beam (5) within the allowable threshold. (FIG. 2)
