Abstract: The disclosure herein relates to a stirrer assembly (100) for a cooking apparatus (10). The stirrer assembly (100) is adapted to have both rotation and translational movement for stirring. The stirrer assembly (100) includes a first housing (102), a mounting member (104), a first actuator (106A), a second actuator (106B), a threaded rod (108), a stirrer rod (110), a stirrer (112), holding members (114), (116), a first driving member (118), a second driving member (120), and a control module (200). The first actuator (106A) is adapted to facilitate the translational movement of the stirrer (112). The second actuator is adapted to facilitate rotational movement of the stirring member (112). The stirrer assembly enables even and uniform mixing of the ingredients in all layers as the stirring member of the stirrer assembly rotates and translates.
