Abstract: A urea stripping process wherein ammonia and carbon dioxide react at a high pressure to form a urea solution; the urea solution is subject to stripping at high pressure; the process includes urea recovery stages at medium pressure and low pressure; the urea solution effluent from the stripper is further processed at a medium-high pressure, which is between the high pressure and the medium pressure, wherein said urea solution at medium-high pressure is heated by condensation of stripper vapours to obtain dissociation of carbamate.
