Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a storage unit (100). The storage unit (100) comprises a top cover (102) and a bottom cover (104). The top cover (102) and the bottom cover (104) are configured to enclose at least one or more cells of one or more batteries of a vehicle. The bottom cover (104) comprises a plurality of side surfaces (104a, 104b, 104c, 104d). At least one side surface (104a, 104b, 104c, or 104d) is configured with one or more mounting provisions (120). Each mounting provision (120) is configured to securely mount the storage unit (100) to an external component (130). In accordance with an embodiment, each mounting provision (120) is integrally formed with the at least one side surface (104a, 104b, 104c, or 104d). The integrally formed mounting provisions (120) improves stability and durability of the coupling of the storage unit (100) to a vehicle portion.
