Abstract: TITLE: “A STORAGE MODULE FOR A DASHBOARD OF A VEHICLE” [058] ABSTRACT The present disclosure discloses a storage module for a dashboard of a vehicle. The storage module includes a housing defining an internal volume and having at least one opening. The housing being disposed in the dashboard. A cover plate is operably coupled to the housing and is configured to selectively cover and uncover the at least one opening of the housing. The storage module further includes an actuation unit disposed in the dashboard and being operably coupled to the housing. The actuation unit being configured to displace the housing between an extended condition and a retracted condition relative to the dashboard. An electronic control unit is communicatively coupled to the actuation unit and configured to receive a signal corresponding to authentication of an authorized user of the vehicle and based on the authentication, actuate the actuating unit to displace the housing between the extended position and the retracted position.
