Abstract: The present invention relates to a steering-responsive adaptive headlamp system for vehicles comprising a dual-light headlamp assembly (8) having a fixed forward- facing light source (8a) and a rotatable light source (8b). The rotatable light source (8b) is actuated in response to steering input detected via a steering-mounted sensing mechanism including a gear mechanism (4) and a rotary encoder (3). A controller (6) processes the steering input and drives an actuator (7) to orient the rotatable light source (8b) in the direction of vehicle turning. The fixed light source (8a) continuously illuminates the forward path, thereby eliminating blind spots associated with conventional adaptive headlamp systems. The system operates only when the headlamp system is switched ON, ensuring energy-efficient operation and improved visibility during nighttime driving and turning conditions
