Abstract: ABSTRACT A STANDALONE SYSTEM OF TRACTION CONTROL APPLICATION FOR TWO-WHEELER AND THREE-WHEELER ELECTRIC VEHICLES USING BLDC/PMSM MOTOR The present invention provides a standalone traction control system for electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles comprises a supervisory processing core, an internal system interconnect, a dedicated hardware commutation module, a dedicated hardware pulse-width modulation module, a dedicated hardware speed estimation engine, a Serial Peripheral Interface controller, and a General-Purpose Input/Output subsystem. The hardware commutation module synthesizes multi-phase inverter gate switching sequences independently of firmware execution. The pulse-width modulation module is tightly coupled in hardware to the Serial Peripheral Interface controller such that digitized throttle command data from an external Analog-to-Digital Converter automatically updates pulse-width modulation duty cycles without software intervention. The speed estimation engine computes motor rotational speed from both ideal and special Hall-effect position sensor signals using hardware state-tracking timers and multi-interval averaging. The General-Purpose Input/Output subsystem, comprising hardware debouncing logic and signal validation logic, is configured to process position sensor signals, brake signals, and direction commands. A switching matrix enables run- time tuning of commutation timing, pulse-width modulation parameters, and debouncing constants without firmware modification. FIG. 1
